Status: Full-time Compensation : $23 to $25 per Hour Position
Summary The Economic and Youth Empowerment Services Case Manager
supports participants in the STRIVE Workforce Development, Teen
STRIVE, and Empowerment STRIVE at the Schenectady County Jail
programs. This role provides trauma-informed case management and
resource coordination to help individuals, especially those
affected by systemic barriers, incarceration, or domestic violence
achieve stability, employment readiness, and economic independence.
Key Responsibilities Provide trauma-informed case management,
including financial guidance, employment counseling, referrals, and
co-facilitation of STRIVE workforce development workshops. Support
participants and youth with job search activities, resume
development, interview preparation, and connections to employment
placements, training, and education. Assist with the STRIVE
Boutique professional clothing resources. Provide case management
and counseling services to youth. Co-facilitate workshops focused
on career readiness, life skills, financial empowerment, healthy
relationships, and domestic violence, including 2 to 3 evening
community workshops per week. Provide trauma-informed support to
youth in group settings. Serve as backup support for Empowerment
STRIVE at the Schenectady County Jail by providing case management
and employment counseling to incarcerated individuals preparing for
reentry. Coordinate with jail staff to support program delivery and
post-release services. Maintain accurate and timely case
documentation and prepare required program reports. Attend team
meetings, supervise sessions, and required trainings. Support
outreach and recruitment efforts. Uphold client confidentiality and
ethical standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology,
Counseling, or related field required, bachelor’s preferred. 2 to 3
years of experience in case management, workforce development, or
social services, including working with youth and facilitating
workshops. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and supporting
vulnerable populations. Strong communication, interpersonal, and
crisis intervention skills; able to work independently and
collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and
client databases. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Work
Environment & Schedule Work across office, classroom, community,
and correctional facility settings. Evening availability (2–3
nights/week) and occasional weekends required for youth programs
and events. Local travel to partner sites and client appointments
