Working under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the individual will be responsible for general labor duties at the Energy from Waste facility. Utility Operators must maintain their work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner and comply with all safety and operational policies and procedures. This position will be involved in plant projects and forced boiler outages. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning, painting, grounds keeping, and preventative maintenance
• Operation, safety inspection and minor maintenance of mobile equipment, including skid steer loader, font-end loader, forklift and street sweeper
• Maintain cleanliness of facility's mobile equipment on a daily basis
• Working in the boilers during maintenance outages
• Moving equipment and materials
• Loading and unloading trucks utilizing front-end loaders
• Perform facility safety inspections
• Monitor and maintain proper operation of ash conditioning, ash removal, ferrous and non-ferrous metals recovery systems
• Perform and document inspections of equipment to identify and report equipment malfunctions
• Clean conveyor spillage
• Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Assist other operating personnel as necessary to support plant operationsPosition Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license. Prior experience in an industrial environment is desired. Must be able to work overtime as needed including nights, weekends, and holidays with minimum notice.
