Always Compassionate Home Care is seeking an experienced driver with valid credentials to provide transportation to caregivers to different locations throughout the region. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7a-3p. RESPONSIBILITIES Expectations Management Provides efficient transportation services to individuals and groups by driving vehicles safely according to schedule Maintains a clean vehicle by checking the inside regularly, picking up trash and vacuuming as needed. Takes vehicle to car wash and cleans outside of vehicle as assigned. Operates vehicle abiding by all New York local and state laws; observes safety and security procedures while transporting staff. Notifies supervisor of any changes and/or cancellations in the daily transportation schedule. Willingly and consistently shares observations and insights of departmental operations that may improve quality and efficiencies of department. Asset and Materials Management Maintains a safe vehicle and performs vehicle inspections as directed. Reports repairs, service needs, and unsafe conditions to supervisor. Administration and Reporting Maintains current and accurate records through use of computers and/or other documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Completes logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and submits to supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience driving by providing transportation services preferred. Knowledge of state and federal driving laws and regulations required. Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be insurable under professional liability and crime coverage policies as specified by insurance carrier underwriting standards. Always Compassionate Home Care is an equal opportunity employer.
