Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system comprising a
top-tier hospital and a distinguished medical college, is seeking a
dedicated Clinical Nurse III to join our Adult Emergency
Department. This crucial role is designed for a compassionate and
professional nurse who can provide exceptional patient care in a
highly dynamic and challenging environment. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for managing patient care, critical
interventions, and supporting both the patients and their families
during emergency situations, aligning with our ethos of excellence
in medical education, research, and patient outcomes. Provide
comprehensive and emergent nursing care to patients in a
high-stakes environment. Assess patient condition promptly and
execute appropriate medical interventions. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to formulate holistic patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on treatments and care plans,
ensuring they have all necessary information. Administer
medications accurately and safely, monitoring for adverse
reactions. Maintain meticulous records of patient care and
participate in quality improvement initiatives within the
department. Strong clinical skills in a high-pressure emergency
setting. Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in
electronic medical record systems. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse
(RN) license in the state of New York. Certification in Basic Life
Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Certified
Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
