qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in ALBANY, New York, 12208! Job
Description & Requirements Registered Nurse – Intensive Care - ICU
- Travel - (ICU RN) StartDate: 3/16/2026 Available Shifts: 12 D Pay
Rate: $2208.00 - $2344.00 The Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive
Care Unit (SICU and Neuro ICU) has a combined total of 30 intensive
care beds designed to provide specialized care to the critically
ill adult (14 and older) patient. The unit has a usual 50/50 split
of patient population between the neuro and surgical patient
population. The focus of care includes patients with
life-threatening conditions related to major elective and emergency
surgical procedures, multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal
injury, stroke, seizure, sepsis/multi-organ system failure,
hemodynamic instability and failure to wean. The SICU and Neuro ICU
patient needs encompass but are not limited to comprehensive
physical assessments, intensive monitoring, treatment of laboratory
values, ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
Procedures performed on unit: Placement of arterial line, central
line, external ventricular drain, ICP monitor, SEPS drain. Bedside
bronchoscopy, abdominal washout, tracheostomy, percutaneous
endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement, lumbar punctures, chest
tubes, pigtail drains. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse,
ICU Licenses: RN-NY Certifications: ACLS; BLS SSN Required DOB
Required References: 1 Reference in entire work history MUST have
competency with EVDs, bolts, ICP management along with experience
with trauma and complex surgical patients. Competency test required
within 48 hours of submission, sent via candidates' email. Please
ensure an up-to-date email is provided at time of submission. MUST
Have Recent Trauma Level One Experience. 1.5 years of 600 bed
academic hospital experience or 2 years of total (traveling perm)
experience EPIC Experience Trauma levels need to be included on
every work entry. Work history must be updated to current date One
reference within the past 12 months from a manager or Supervisor
