Location Detail: 100 Grand Street New Britain (10126) Shift
Detail: Graduate nurse resident. Night shift. 7:00pm-7:30am Every

clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as they
complete the Nurse Residency program. The Hospital of Central

Under the general direction of Nursing Leadership and in
collaboration with a nurse preceptor and nurse educator along with
an interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse Resident utilizes
evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse
Practice Act, and policies and procedures of the hospital. This
position develops a plan of care, which includes standards of
practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and
educational needs of the patient and family. Qualifications
Education · Completion of a formal Nursing program. · Associate’s
degree in Nursing Licensure, Certification, Registration ·
Registered Nurse, State of CT · Certified BLS Provider credentialed
from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month
(30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. · Additional
certifications may be required in specific specialties Language
Skills · Must be able to effectively communicate information in
English. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements · Applies the
principles and practices of nursing. · Ability to develop, deliver
and evaluate patient care. · Works towards caring for a full
patient assignment with expanding scope of responsibilities over
time. · Basic knowledge of high reliability. · Strong communication
skills, both verbal and written. Uses communication skills to
foster a healthy work environment and facilitate positive patient
outcomes and experience. · Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all
interactions with patients/families and co-workers. · Applies
knowledge of care for age specific populations. · Ability to work
as part of a collaborative team. · Self-directed in clinical
responsibilities. · Ability to manage and organize multiple
clinical priorities. · Proficiency in basic computer skills and use
of industry applications/programs. Ability to learn new technology
and programs as advancements and changes are implemented. The
