Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Job Function: Night Shift. 3x12: 7pm - 7:30am. Responsible for managing the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions. Provide support, education and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience. Close communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention. Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing. Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current RN license for the state of New York required. 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association required. ENPC and NISS certifications preferred.
