  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,170.00 Per Week -Position Overview:Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical Cardiology team on a 13-week night shift travel contract. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac care environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. -The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients with a range of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, and telemetry monitoring. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for a diverse adult patient population. -Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide direct nursing care to cardiac medical patients, including monitoring of cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and managing telemetry
    • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
    • Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
    • Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
    • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based nursing standards
    • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
    • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment -Required Qualifications:
      • Active RN license in New York State - Required
      • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Preferred or Required based on unit
      • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a telemetry, cardiac step-down, or medical cardiology unit - Required
